MBBS Program

The full version of MBBS in medicine is Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. MBBS is a 5.5-year undergraduate medical degree offered to students who have completed all required academic and clinical training in medicine and surgery. In India, an MBBS is the minimum medical qualification required to practice as a physician or surgeon. The MBBS curriculum normally includes disciplines such as anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology, and clinical skills, preparing students for a healthcare career.

After completing their 5.5-year MBBS program, all medical graduates must perform a Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI) lasting at least 6 months. Only after finishing the internship will they be qualified for the MBBS degree, according to the standards of the individual medical school. 

This year, the NTA lowered the MBBS eligibility criteria. To enroll in MBBS, candidates must have completed Class 12 in the Science stream, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, English (which includes practical assessments in these subjects), and Mathematics, and be at least 17 years old. In addition, they must rank on the NEET merit list to be eligible. The typical MBBS course fee ranges between INR 25,000 to INR 1.15 crore. The admission to the MBBS course is solely based on the MBBS entrance exam, known as NEET-UG. The NEET result has been announced.

Applicants can pursue jobs as physicians in both private and public hospitals, and military forces, and open their clinics.
